As a designer, first of all was to lock in the information architecture: homepage, offers, courses, coaches, etc. When that was finished we our team had to manage some difficulties that diversified this website creation process from the standard way of doing things.

The site was meant for the South Korean market, and all of it’s potential users are of South Korean decent. So the language and the alphabet also had to be South Korean, a writing not so familiar with western culture.

Finding a font that fits both languages for the paragraph or the body text (Source Sans Pro). Also finding one display or header font for English (Impact) an another for Korean language (Black Han Sans).
Using the similar colors as FC Seoul, the team that the brand ambassador (amongst being a coach and a key figure) has had the most success with.
Not using so much stock photos of western people if there faces are clearly (except the staff, which is Slavic).

Teachable is a great and effective platform for making your own video course website without investing too much time and money. It maybe the best on the market when it comes to that particular service, however, it has it’s limitations. When it comes to design, there is a small number of solutions being given to your every section in the page. Luckily it has a option to insert custom CSS and JavaScript code. In order to make a pleasing and modern layout, I had to make a design that is simple and pleasing so it wouldn’t need to many lines of code. Every additional coding puts as at the risk of having bugs, because it’s their code.

Section that have a picture with a ratio 1:1, picture to header and paragraph. When making this responsive is something that is brought to attention because the 2 halves just switch from a horizontal to a vertical direction.

Diversity
Differences between South Korea and Belgrade, the city where I’ve grew up and currently live are significant. I took my time checked and looked through a number of websites popular in the Far East like: naver.com, daum.net, weverse.io, musinsa.com, 11st.co.kr, etc. At first, they all looked like a weird wending machine that sells... everything. But that lasted just moment and I just got used to it quickly. Especially when I changed the language, it looked like any other western website, the differences where miniscule.
You can conclude this: UX is universal. So is technology. It’s the thing that brings us all together and helps us communicate in a way that there is no misunderstanding.
You don’t need to know the same language, just use your phone.
